Do you ever have those “if only I-” moments? If only I had that shirt. If only I had blue eyes. If only I could play the drums. If only I could draw like that. If only I could be as good as that. If only, if only, if only. What if every time we thought of an if only, we replaced it with an I’m lucky to? I’m lucky to have brown hair. I’m lucky to be able to sing like I can. I’m lucky to have food on my plate and roof over my head. I’m lucky, I’m lucky, I’m lucky. Well then, why are we so lucky to have these things? We’re so lucky because we know that these things were created by the one and only God. Master of all creation. To know that the one who made anything and everything with such precision and detail, and that He looked at me and said it was perfect, is a pretty lucky thing if you ask me. So what if I don’t have all the things I want. I have the things that God wants me to have. And we indeed are very, very lucky to have a God just like that.
