I have two updates that I’m really excited to talk about with you guys…

Update #1: Your girl is getting baptized on April 23rd! It’s a really big step for me and I’m extremely happy about it but also a little nervous at the same time but I’m sure everything will go fine. Instead of giving my speech up in the baptismal font, they had us all make videos and I think I’ll like that more than having to cry up there even more, but while I was making the video I was not loving the amount of awkward I poured into it.

Update #2: I have been working on creating this “new” blog (new to you, definitely not me) for quite some time. I’m getting older and time is moving by so quickly and it’s time to start preparing for my future. I’m almost positive about many of the details that God has in store for the rest of my life including colleges, classes, and jobs (that is, unless God decides to take all of that and mix it all up). I started this blog as something to do in my spare time but never thought I would actually try to make something out of it, but here I am! Now, onto the more exciting part of what all of this actually entails…

  1. A new blog. It will be a mixture of lifestyle, beauty, food, fashion, and even more types of blogging. There are a few types that I will focus more on than others but that all depends on what kind of content people are looking for. I want to take the things I learn along the way that are useful for me and share them with you! Along with the kind of blogging anyone would be looking for, of course this blog will spill over into that. I want Jesus to find His way into everything I can fit Him into- which is everything.
  2. A photography outlet. As a profession, photography is the dream job that I’d like to spend my whole life doing. I’ll take you along the way with me so you can be there to watch me grow into the person I aspire to be. I have to start somewhere small so why not here?
  3. A ministry. Like I said, I want Jesus to pour through the cracks in my work that I can’t fill otherwise and hold it all together!
  4. Writing. I don’t want to be giving out too many details about this, but I have some great things in the works with writing. I love all types of writing, as you probably already know, so I’m working on different styles and trying new things out so I can make content for any and every eye to view.
  5. Social media. This is another area that I don’t want to release too much information out in either. Since I’m just starting out, my social media platforms will be starting out small as well. I plan to create more platforms as I go on different social medias like YouTube, Instagram, etc etc.

Looking Back

I started this blog after finding inspiration from a relative who loves to blog as well. I see her as someone I look up to and admire the effort she put into her writing. Many say that they start things like this and that they’ll want to go back later and read them because they think it’ll help them take their own advice. I always found that cliche, like it came right out of some hallmark movie (which I’m looking forward to investing my time in this Christmas). But tonight I went back and read some of my posts just to see what I’ve embarrassed myself with on the internet this time. It came to my surprise that I actually have more of an understanding of what I wrote now than I did then, and I can think deeper into the situations I wrote about. I actually got something out of my own writing and I never found that would be possible, but at the same time it’s what I’d hoped for. The last thing that I got out of my work was hope. I see hope as the underlying message of what I’ve written and I’m looking forward to writing more.

I’m hoping to actually get around to writing more but tis the season for school to begin.

My Own Advice

Recently I’ve had the opportunity to help some people out with different struggles they’re going through. I see the things I read from The Word and learn as I go, so I’ve come to a conclusion I’ve known for a long time but never wanted to admit. It’s easy to tell someone advice on how to look at different aspects of their lives, but when it comes to ourselves, it’s totally different. I specifically talked to a girl struggling with self image. I told her my opinion and as I was writing it, I had the thought in the back of my mind that I REALLY need to listen to my own advice. But why is that so hard? I find it impossible to listen to my own advice no matter how much it may pertain to me. It made me think of what I’m really telling others to apply in their life, because I should say it like I was talking to myself. I also learned that I really need to listen to my own advice. Like, a lot.

I Love You

Since I haven’t posted in a long time this post may be a little long; so sit back, grab your coffee, and listen to what I have to say. First off, thank you guys SO much for all the support you’ve given me in the past year! I couldn’t have gone as far as I have without you guys. With this being said, I love you guys and this post is going to be about you.

Love is a strong word. Sometimes it’s overused, sometimes it’s underused, and sometimes its not used at all. But one of the worst scenarios possible is better to use to make someone feel good when it’s not meant truly. We don’t always think about it but love is a very strong word and can make a big difference in somebody’s life. So next time you tell someone you love them think about the meaning of love and if it’s really true to you. This post was about you guys to show that when I say I love you I really do and you all mean so much to me. Once again thank you for all the support you’ve given me throughout this previous year. You have helped me grow in my relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.I am looking forward to many more blog posts, many more followers, and many more like lessons and experiences with Jesus. 💖

Thank You
