Caring is caring. When you stop talking to a person because they’ve hurt you in some way, that doesn’t mean either of you stop caring. Sometimes things seem to be too distant or too far gone for you to care about them, but the thoughts still creep into your mind about it. Slowly and surely, if you believe in giving people chances, you’ll see a hope in them. That hope makes you want to keep trying to help them, even if it seems hard or they push you away. You never know what’s going on in people’s lives, and you could definitely make a change.
Today, I helped out in feeding the homeless. You see tons of people come up and take the food and say thank you and yes, that feels good but that’s not what moved me. After most got their food, we walked around and talked to the different people. It really makes me realize how much I have and that I take it for granted a lot of the time. I listened to a man talk about the feeling of a warm shower and bed to sleep in and how nice that was. He described that it was comfy to sleep on a piece of cardboard at night, and that he could sleep just fine. Most of those people explained it in a way that showed how appreciative they were of these meals, and that they were just fine. Here I am complaining about the dumb stuff half the time when they don’t even say a word. Twas a lovely day, and a lovely eye opener.
There is a new Christian song out called There May Be Tears. It may sound gloomy but the lyrics are very encouraging! It says “My children, don’t worry take my hand; I’m taking you down this road you don’t understand. There may be tears while you’re waiting for these answers; I can see the picture I can see the future- I can tell you right now, it’s gonna be alright.” This song is coming from God’s point of view telling us not to worry or feel like we are alone. Here is your challenge for today or tomorrow: listen to the song on youtube and post a comment below with your opinion and favorite lyrics/ if you have them. I promise that I’ll do my very best to answer all of you guys in some way, shape, or form! Come on, let’s see how many people we can get to comment on this post!
Prayer. Prayer is the best medicine, because it can heal a broken heart. By using it, God works in mysterious ways; ways that we can’t even imagine. You cannot tell me that prayer was a part of what healed a 4th grader ready to give up and die from cancer( she is back in school and doing much better now! 🙂 ). Prayer can make the biggest problem in your life become a small bump in the road! Have you prayed about it as much as you’ve talked about it?
Do you ever feel like you could stand up or do something, but when you do it you lose all confidence? You may feel like your going to mess up or fail; maybe you feel like you might do something out of the blue that makes you look idiotic. Well, failure isn’t real! This is actually very simple to understand- George Washington tried 200 different possible ways to create glasses, at first, and he did not succeed. BUT, he also didn’t fail. He figured out 200 whole new ways on how to NOT make glasses. ( maybe some of you have seen that saying before in National Treasure 🙂 ). Next time you go to do something and you’re lacking confidence, boost your self-esteem with prayer, faith, and this blog post!
