Looking Back

I started this blog after finding inspiration from a relative who loves to blog as well. I see her as someone I look up to and admire the effort she put into her writing. Many say that they start things like this and that they’ll want to go back later and read them because they think it’ll help them take their own advice. I always found that cliche, like it came right out of some hallmark movie (which I’m looking forward to investing my time in this Christmas). But tonight I went back and read some of my posts just to see what I’ve embarrassed myself with on the internet this time. It came to my surprise that I actually have more of an understanding of what I wrote now than I did then, and I can think deeper into the situations I wrote about. I actually got something out of my own writing and I never found that would be possible, but at the same time it’s what I’d hoped for. The last thing that I got out of my work was hope. I see hope as the underlying message of what I’ve written and I’m looking forward to writing more.

I’m hoping to actually get around to writing more but tis the season for school to begin.

(Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I went on a family vacation for Easterčśä!) I want to just spend this post saying what I’m thankful for that the LORD has provided me with… I am thankful for a place of refuge, food and drinks, THE FACT HE SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO PAY THE PRICE WE SHOULD BE PAYING AND FOR FORGIVING US, family, A GOD WHO LOVES ME, friends, clothes, SOMEONE I CAN PRAY TO AND TALK TO/ SAYING THINGS I’D NEVER SAY TO ANYONE ELSE, talents and abilities, knowledge, MY BIBLE, my pets, my health, and much, much more. Did you see a pattern in that long sentence? I can’t even begin to think of where my list would end if I wrote down what I’m thankful for about the LORD! PLEASE write down what you are thankful for in the comments section- I want to see how many people I can get to comment! Also, at the end of your lists, answer me- He is risen, ( He is risen, indeed! )

Write That Down

A close friend of mine told me about a new thing she was going to do to bring herself closer to the LORD. She said it would be good if we wrote down prayers, experiences, and other things to do with God. I have not yet tried it, but I encourage you to try it yourself and see if you notice a difference in your life ( maybe you find yourself happier, closer to Him, or find yourself being nicer to anyone… ). If you decide to try it, tell me in the comments section how it went.
